THREE is probably the most popular beauty brand among Japanese women right now. I see a lot of "new-in" or "haul" photos of THREE products on Instagram, and sometimes there is a line at THREE counters (never seen that long line except Albion and Chanel). I am a THREE fan as well and it is easy to see why they are so popular.
Made in Japan, Velvet Lust Lipstick is an unscented, pigmented lipstick. The matte metal packaging is slim and looks chic.
08 Inner Journey is THREE Aoyama exclusive shade and is described as cheerful apple red. It's a bright red with a slight coral tone and the pigmentation is great - opaque in a single stroke.
It has a smooth matte finish. I'm not a fan of matte lipsticks but this is just comfortable to wear. It's not particularly drying but is not hydrating either. Kind of reminds me of NARS Lipstick. As for lasting power, it lasts a bit longer than other lipsticks I own. I have to touch up after 4 hours each time, or if you eat something, it will surely disappear.
I like how this color brightens up my complexion. I love to wear black clothes in the winter so I will definitely be wearing bright lipsticks more often!
